After Cleaning
Guardian’s Fibre Rock Composite is a beautiful, sustainable material that is dense, durable and easy to care for. Due to its low porosity it is resistant to staining from soils and common cleaning products.
It is recommended that an initial sealing finish be applied to your new compartments to enhance the natural color of the panel and provide additional protection.
Fibre Rock material has a factory applied sealer. After any serious scrubbing
it is recommended that a wax sealer be applied.

The best cleaner for general maintenance is soapy water. Method, Seventh Generation and Simple Green are good off the shelf cleaners suitable for use on Fibre Rock panels.

Don’t use cleaners that contain bleach.
A mild 1:10 bleach to water solution is an effective disinfectant and may be used.
Don’t use abrasive cleaners or abrasive cleaning tools for general cleaning.

Light Scratches: To remove light scratches and/or stains, use a maroon Scotch-Brite pad 7447 or similar product with light buffing.

Heavy Scratches: Using a 220 grit or above sandpaper on a random orbital sander sand out the scratch and the follow up with the Scotch-Brite pad as above.

Excessive sanding in the same area may result in light spots. Refinishing of the whole area may be needed to keep a consistent look across the entire surface. After buffing or sanding the affected area, wipe area with damp cloth to remove dust particles. When dry, apply a liberal amount of The Original Bee’s Wax Finish to the entire surface using a soft clean cloth in a circular motion. Let finish set for a minimum of 20 minutes and wipe off excess. Continue wiping with a soft cloth until you can no longer see fingerprints on the surface. Finally buff with a fresh, clean, soft cloth to give a rich and even luster.

Graffiti: Unavoidable in some environments, marker pen, paint lipstick etc. can be successfully removed using Goof Off or similar graffiti removal product.
Be sure to try the solvent in a less visible area to make sure it does not damage the surface of the panels. Follow the manufactures instructions for cleaning off the marks. Wipe the area down with soapy water and rinse with freshwater. If needed sanding or buffing with the Scotch pad will help remove persistent marks. Finish with The Original Bee’s Wax to get the panel looking like new again.
